Facebook Pages
Connect your Facebook Pages to PostRite via Meta OAuth and schedule posts, photos, videos, and link previews.
How It Works
Facebook connects through Meta OAuth. When you authorize PostRite, each selected Facebook Page becomes its own connection for auto-publishing.
One Page per Connection
Each connect flow links one Facebook Page. To manage multiple Pages, repeat the connect process for each one.
Requirements
Before connecting, ensure you have:
- A Facebook Business account
- Admin access to the Facebook Page(s) you want to connect
Connecting Your Account
- Go to the Platforms page from the sidebar
- Click Connect on the Facebook card
- A popup will open — log in to Facebook
- Select the Facebook Page you want to connect
- Grant the required permissions
- The popup will close and your Page will appear as a connection
- Repeat for each additional Page you want to manage
Supported Features
- Text posts with or without media
- Single images or photo albums (up to 10 images)
- Videos (up to 1GB, one video per post — cannot be mixed with images)
- Link posts with preview
- Meta Feed Safe helper for platform-specific image variants
- Schedule posts for future publishing
- Reels and Stories: publish a vertical video as a Page Reel (3–90 seconds; Meta allows 30 per Page per day through its API), or an image or a video of up to 60 seconds as a Page Story, which carries no caption or comments and disappears after 24 hours
- First comment: automatically posted on your Page post right after it publishes (up to 8,000 characters; on a Reel, once Facebook has finished processing the video; not on Stories)
- Comment moderation: every comment other people leave on the Page, including on posts published outside PostRite, arrives in the Comments inbox, where you reply, hide, delete and mark comments resolved. On a published post you can also comment as the Page (Facebook does not let a Page hide its own comments) — see Comment Moderation
- Post analytics: daily reactions, comments, and shares on published posts (reactions and comments on Reels; Stories are not measured) — see Analytics
Post Options
When Facebook is selected, the editor shows these options:
Post type
Publish as a regular feed post (the default), a Reel or a Story. A Reel takes exactly one vertical (9:16) video of 3 to 90 seconds and keeps its caption. A Story takes one image or one video of up to 60 seconds; Stories have no caption and no comments, so the post text and the first comment are not published on one. The post type is available on every Facebook connection — it needs no extra permission.
First Comment
Automatically post a first comment on your Page post right after it publishes. It is the usual place for hashtags or a link, keeping the post copy itself clean. The comment supports up to 8,000 characters and is posted by the Page, not by you. It is not available on Stories. On a Reel, it is posted once Facebook has finished processing the video — and not at all if Facebook never confirms the Reel.

Facebook Feed Validation
PostRite blocks publish and schedule actions when a Facebook image falls outside the supported 4:5 to 1.91:1 range. Use the editor's Meta Feed Safe action to generate a platform-specific override without replacing your shared media.
Troubleshooting
Can't see my Page
Make sure you:
- Have Admin access to the Page
- Selected the Page during the Meta authorization flow
- Are logged into the correct Facebook account
Publishing fails
Common causes:
- Token expired — reconnect your account
- Image doesn't meet requirements (size, format, ratio)
- Video exceeds the 1GB limit
- Video rejected during Facebook's processing — Facebook processes videos after upload, and PostRite keeps checking until it confirms the video went live. If Facebook rejects it, the post is marked failed with the reason instead of silently appearing published
