Best Practices for LinkedIn
- First line matters: The first 2-3 lines appear above "see more" - make them count
- Use formatting: Break up text with line breaks for readability
- Professional tone: LinkedIn favors professional, value-driven content
- Engage in comments: Reply to comments to boost post visibility
- Optimal times: Tuesday-Thursday, 8-10 AM or 12 PM typically perform well
- Use 3-5 hashtags: More specific hashtags tend to perform better
Troubleshooting
Can't see my company pages
Make sure you have admin access to the company page on LinkedIn. If you recently gained access, try disconnecting and reconnecting your account.
Post fails to publish
When a post fails, PostRite shows the specific reason on the failed post. Common causes:
- Content exceeds 3,000 characters
- Image doesn't meet size requirements or couldn't be uploaded — the post fails with the reason instead of silently publishing without the image
- Token expired - reconnect your account
- Posting rate limit reached — PostRite retries automatically after a few minutes
Link preview not showing
LinkedIn caches link previews. If your preview looks wrong, use LinkedIn's Post Inspector tool to refresh the cache.
